As the saying goes, third times the charm.

The Hitmen are in Regina Saturday night to take on the Pats, (6 p.m., WHL Live, Sportsnet 960 THE FAN) in the last game of a three-game road trip.

Saturday also marks the third of four regular season meetings between the Hitmen and Pats, with Regina leading the season series 2-0 and outscoring Calgary by a combined 8-4.  Vladislav Yeryomenko (3A) leads the Hitmen in scoring, while Tristen Nielsen is second (1G, 1A) with two points.

The Hitmen are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings Friday night, and are still in search of their first win of the road trip. Yeryomenko scored the lone marker for the Hitmen in the third period, while Nick Schneider made 36 saves.

Regina enters the meeting fresh off a 3-1 win over the Central Division leading Medicine Hat Tigers. In their last three games, the Pats have racked up five points and currently hold the first Wild-Card spot in the Eastern Conference with 48 points.

Newly acquired Hitmen defenceman Egor Zamula will play his first game against his former club, after being picked up on import waivers from the Pats by the Hitmen. Regina selected Zamula in the first round of the 2017 CHL Import Draft. In 38 games with the Pats, Zamula racked up seven assists.

Following the contest, the Hitmen will return home to take on the Saskatoon Blades on Tuesday Jan. 16, to kick-off a three-game home-stand.
