The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today made a pair of roster moves in advance of the 2017-18 Western Hockey League regular season.

Forward Bryce Bader (pronounced BAY-der) has been reassigned to a yet to be determined location while 18-year-old forward Murphy Stratton has been released.  The 16-year-old Bader recorded two points (1g, 1a) in five pre-season games with Stratton picking up a pair of assists in four contests.

With the transactions, the Hitmen now have 27 players on their roster: three goaltenders, nine defencemen, and 15 forwards.

Calgary’s 72-game regular season schedule begins on the road in Cranbrook against Kootenay on Friday, Sept. 22.

The Hitmen then return to the Scotiabank Saddledome the following night for the Home Opener presented by Adrenalin Source For Sports.  The 7:00 p.m. contest on Saturday, Sept. 23, will be a rematch against the ICE with fans able to purchase a $100 ticket.  This unique offer includes nine additional second-level ticket vouchers that can be redeemed for any regular season home game during the 2017-18 campaign.  To take advantage of the $100 ticket, use the special offer code HIT500 at Ticketmaster.
