Johnny Boychuk and Boston Bruins win the Stanley Cup

Calgary Hitmen Alumnus Johnny Boychuk has become the fourth Hitmen grad to win the Stanley Cup. 

The 27-year-old Boston Bruins defenceman played a significant role in the B’s Cup clinching Game 7 win in Vancouver Wednesday night.  The Edmonton product ate huge minutes, 18:28 in fact, fourth most on the team.  He was also +2.

2007 – Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim Ducks)
2008 – Brad Stuart (Detroit Red Wings)
