Calgary Hitmen vs Swift Current Broncos

Swift Current, SK – Brandon Glover made 24 saves for his first Western Hockey League shutout as the Calgary Hitmen blanked the Swift Current Broncos 3-0 Wednesday night at Credit Union I-Plex.

The game was scoreless heading into the third period when Spencer Humphries scored twice for Calgary, once into the empty net to lead the scoring attack.  For Humphries it was goals four and five on the season.

Cody Sylvester also scored for Calgary, his 18th of the season.

The Hitmen outshot Swift Current 27-24 while both teams were blanked on the powerplay.  The Hitmen went 0-4, the Broncos 0-5.

Calgary now returns home for a pair of games, hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes Friday night and the Red Deer Rebels Sunday evening.  Both are at Scotiabank Saddledome with Friday’s start at 7:00 pm and Sunday’s a 5:00 pm puck drop.
